Watkins Glen NY

Jason and I really wanted to take Laneah to Palmyra this summer before she got baptized to see where Joseph Smith had the First Vision. We had planned to go to Palmyra and then a little farther north to Niagara Falls to meet up with my parents, but things fell through with my dad's work and they weren't able to meet us in New York. I was able to find a groupon for a Lodge with an indoor water park that was about an hour away from Palmyra. It is in the Finger Lakes and they boasted lots of beautiful scenery with waterfalls. We took a route on the way and made a stop at Watkins Glen National Park. The park itself is huge with a pretty mild hiking trail through the gorge and had 19 different waterfalls throughout the hike.

Some of the waterfalls you walked behind or under and the girls loved being able to get wet and cool off.

Sawyer got the best ride, on daddy's back. He enjoyed the ride and the scenery and had a great time.

The hike was a big hit and we would all love to go back sometime.
