Books

I love to read. There are few things I like better than to curl up with some blankets and read a good book. On this page I am going to talk about my favorite books that I have read in the past, and then review books as I read them. I like a wide variety of books and I am always reading a book (although it is taking me longer to read them now that I have two little ones) and would love to share and recommend (or not) books to you.

Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief
Review: An interesting read and surprisingly unique. In this book Percy Jackson is a teenager with a tough life who finds out he is not only the son of a Greek God and a mortal mother, but also that the Greek God Zeus thinks Percy stole his symbol of power, his lighting bolt. He has to find who really stole the bolt and return it to Zeus before a war between the Gods breaks out and leaves massive devastation in its wake.

The book is written for children and teens and the writing proves that, but I am hoping that like Harry Potter, the following books in the series will cater more to adults. But it piqued my interest enough that I will be reading the subsequent books.
