Disney Cruise Day 1

We ate breakfast at the hotel and then packed up and headed to cruise port.
We were one of the earliest groups to board. We didn't want to waste any time.

When we got on board, we were announced by name and then there were a group of crew members there to cheer.

We rode the aqua dunk first so we wouldn't have to wait in line. Laneah rode twice in a row and Jason and I each rode once. The slide is fun but scary; you stand on a platform and the floor opens up beneath you and then you slide over the side of the ship.

We had some lunch, ice cream and played in the pool and hot tub.

When our room was ready we went to check it out. We got an Oceanview room with 2 portholes.

Since we had been on a Disney Cruise before, we had this bag as a gift in our room.

We went and checked out the kids clubs.

Some pictures of the ship

As the ship leaves port, there is an Adventure's Away party with dancing and some characters. We were right in front so we had great views of Mickey, Minnie and friends.

They have a space in the very front for kids. Brooklyn went right up, Laneah wanted to stay with me.

Our dinner the first night was at Lumiere's, a French restaurant.

The ceiling lights had roses in the them. They were not crooked, that's just my bad photography.

Fried Brie

Jason and Laneah tried Escargot.

Brooklyn got strawberry shortcake for dessert.
I had the creme brûlée.
We watched the nightly show, which was a small musical and a preview of some of the featured acts we would see while on board. When we got back to the room we had our towel animal and our chocolates waiting for us.
Our first day was fabulous. We were so excited to be doing a 7 night cruise this time!
