Disney Cruise Day 5: Martinique

Our day 5 stop was in Martinique. We didn't have any excursions scheduled, but wanted to explore the port a little bit. Laneah didn't want to get off the ship, so she went to the kids club and Jason, Brooklyn and I walked into port. Martinique is a French island. There was a market of people selling things, but they didn't harass you like they do on most other islands. The island is pretty large and very beautiful. It was hot and muggy so we shopped around, saw a few sites of note and then headed back to the ship. 

The port was really close to Fort St Louis, which is still in use by the French military. 

Some people took a ferry from the port to a cluster of beaches and raved about them. I had wanted to go, but Jason was burned from the catamaran ride and didn't want to go to the beach. Martinique was really beautiful.
