Disney Cruise Day 3: Barbados

On Barbados, our excursion was a catamaran ride to snorkel with the turtles and a shipwreck. My waterproof camera had a bad memory card, so I could only take a few pictures, but luckily Jason brought his cell phone so I was able to take some more pictures (but not underwater of course. Laneah was really anxious about this excursion. She did not want to snorkel. We told her she had to go on the catamaran, and she had to swim in the water, but she didn't have to snorkel.
It was a beautiful day and the ocean was a stunning blue. The catamaran was fun and the crew was funny and nice. The girls loved sitting on the net in the front.

Our first stop was at the turtle stop. My favorite!!! Brooklyn wanted to snorkel, so she came in the water with me. Jason and Laneah got in just to swim.
We saw lots of turtles right away. We had been out for about 20 minutes and then Laneah decided she wanted to snorkel. We were so proud of her. She got her gear on and came out with me and I asked the guide to help us find a turtle for her and he was so sweet, he had her hold on to his float and swam around and helped us find some turtles. Laneah was really nervous to see turtles in the ocean, but once she saw it in person, she thought it was the coolest.

The second stop was the shipwreck. Laneah was excited to get in, but Brooklyn said she didn't want to, so I stayed with Brooklyn and Jason took Laneah out. About 5 minutes later, Brooklyn decided she did want to see the shipwreck, so we got in too. The shipwreck was really cool because it wasn't very deep so you could see everything really well and even swim into it if you wanted to dive down just a bit. There were tons of different fish and coral. The girls were pointing and getting excited about everything. It was awesome.

After our snorkeling trips, we headed back to the ship. They fed us a yummy lunch and then the girls relaxed on the nets.
The front of the ship.

This was our favorite excursion. When we got off, we did a little shopping, picked up our DI charms, Jason got a hat and I got a magnet. Laneah got a stuffed animal sea turtle to remember her first snorkeling trip. We hope to go back to Barbados someday.
