The views were spectacular.
We finally reached our destination, which was the Pitons. We got to slather ourselves in volcanic mud, and then sit in the hot spring that was heated by the volcano. It was really fun.
Once we dried off, we went to our next stop which was an old plantation. We took a tour there and they had lunch there (not great). This was our least favorite part of the excursion.
The plantation had coco beans and they let everyone try one. Brooklyn loved hers.
After the plantation, we took a catamaran ride to a beach. It had been raining off and on all day, and when we got on the catamaran, it started pouring. Luckily it was partly covered and we didn't get too wet.
The rain stopped and the kids all gathered on the nets to enjoy the bumps and the spray of the ocean.
They had a little dance party on the deck.
The catamaran stopped near a beach that you could swim too. The beach was black and the water was a little chilly after the rain storm. As soon as we anchored, men in kayaks came up to try and sell us things. Insane!
The girls made some friends on the catamaran, which was nice. After spending some time at the beach, we got back on and it took us back to the port, which gave us some good views of the ship.
It was nice to see and we loved certain things about St Lucia, but I don't think I'd go back. The mud baths was the best part.
