Boston Day 1 & 2

We flew into Boston Friday morning and met up with our good friends Josh and Emily at Bunker Hill, one of the sites of the Freedom Trail. The Freedom Trail is a trail that takes you to the most popular and important historical sites in Boston.
A picture of Bunker Hill. Like a smaller version of the Washington Monument.
But this thing doesn't have an elevator, you have to walk up all 294 steps!
But you got amazing views from the top.
Then we went to the USS Constitution. It is the oldest war ship in the US still usable.

Josh being goofy.
After that it was time to check in the hotel and change for the adoption conference. The conference was spiritual and uplifting as always. I wish everyone could realize how spiritual adoption is and how it is such an important part of God's plan. The Boston Temple President talked about adoption being one of the core doctrines of the church.

After conference ended on Saturday afternoon we headed to the North End (Little Italy) with Josh and Emily again. We waited in line for an hour and a half to get into this place but it was worth it.
I got the  pumpkin tortellini in a fresh sage mascarpone cheese sauce and it was the best meal I have ever eaten. It was so delicious!
After dinner we went to Mike's Pastry shop which is famous for its 20 different kind of cannolis. We stocked up and then went back to the hotel.
We couldn't wait to eat them....we are such dorks, but boy do we have fun:)
Our hotel was really nice. They had a gourmet restaurant with an outdoor stone terrace. There were tables and a stone hearth and they lit a fire every night. The hotel had several weddings a day it was that pretty. We grabbed a table by the fire and hung out and ate cannolis. It was so fun seeing our friends we don't get to see often and attending the adoption conference. Looking forward to next year.
