Destin Day 1

Our first day in Destin we headed over to my brother Jacob's house in the morning. It was so great to see him and his girlfriend Norma. Jacob had just bought a house with a boat dock. This is the view from his backyard. He doesn't have a boat yet but he plans on getting one. I am super jealous;) The girls liked looking at the fish and the crabs in the water from the dock.

After hanging out at Jake's house for a while, we went to the Harbor Walk Marina. Oh my goodness, this place was so beautiful. The water was a beautiful green (they call Destin "the emerald coast") and nice a warm. The boardwalk had a miniature train like at the mall, lots of shops and restaurants. We ate lunch at a yummy Mexican place right on the water.

Laneah wanted a spray paint mermaid. It was supposed to stay on three days, but came right off in the bath that night.
After spending a couple of hours at the boardwalk we went to a little amusement place by Jake's house. They had an amazing go kart track that went up three stories high.
Laneah wanted to ride with Norma.
This was Laneah's favorite ride. She sat with Uncle Jake and sprayed Uncle Drew.

It started pouring rain so we went inside to the arcade area for a while.

Brooklyn pushed a jackpot button on a game and tickets came flying out. She was so excited she kept grabbing then and jumping and laughing.
The rain cleared off a bit and so the girls rode a few more rides.

The girls both loved this spinning ride and they rode it for close to 10 minutes because Brooklyn kept flirting with the attendant. When it first started to slow down she said"more! More peas (please)" and I am not kidding you; batted her eyelashes. The guy melted and the the ride started again. Then he started spinning them so more. Every time Brooklyn came around to him she would smile with her dimples and bat her lashes at him. Boy we are in Trouble!

We played miniature golf and the rain held off luckily. There were big storm clouds and you could hear the thunder and see the lightning, but it didn't hit while we were there.

After that long and fun day we went to eat dinner at Long Horn Steakhouse where Norma works and it was super yummy. We all crashed when we got back to the hotel.
