Clearwater and Honeymoon Island

On Saturday morning we packed up and ate our last continental breakfast. The hotel we were at had great food and they even had the yummy Mickey Mouse waffles with whip cream and syrup. My sister flew back to VA that morning and Alex had to work so we said goodbye to him the night before. We had an 8 hour drive to Destin but we wanted to stop at a couple of beaches on the way. Our first stop was Clearwater beach. I have been to Clearwater a few times and love it. This time though there was a ton of seaweed! I am not sure if it came up because of a storm or what, but Brooklyn would not get in the water or touch the sand because she was terrified of the seaweed. Go figure.
Laneah jumped right in of course:)

We spent a couple of hours at Clearwater and then grabbed a quick lunch and headed off. Jason had rented a car to go to Ft Lauderdale to a scout camp called Sea Base so we had to say good bye. We wouldn't see him for two weeks:( The rest of us drove a little further to Honeymoon Island. My dad had been there before on a business trip and really liked it so he wanted to go again. I was glad we did, even if it did get us to Destin at 2 am. Honeymoon Island was beautiful and it had lots of shells and no seaweed so Brooklyn was ok with playing in the sand and getting in the water.

It was a long car ride after the beach, but we made it to Destin:)

Looks like this was a wonderful vacation! I loved everyone's swimsuits. And you, lady, look fabulous! I love that your family was able to make these memories with you. And hopefully give you and Jason some adult time once-in-a-while? :)
