D.C.

Our friends from college, the Butterfields, came to visit us and we had the best time. The first day they were here we toured D.C.

First we did the walking tour of the Lincoln monument, WWII monument, Korean War monument, Vietnam monument, and the Washington Monument.

We grabbed lunch from a few of the many food trucks and ate lunch on the lawn of the Mall.

The bromance continues 😂

Then we hit up the Natural History Museum and the Air and Space Museum.

Feeling an actual moon rock

At Air and Space there is an interactive kids room that is a lot of fun.

They really wanted to see Arlington Cemetery as well so we hopped in our vehicles and headed to VA. It's a quick little trip and we were able to catch the last changing of the guard ceremony of the day.

The girls wanted to ride with the amazing Butterfields on the way home (I don't blame them) and they built this with Brooklyn's math cubes.
After we got home we had some yummy soup from the crockpot and some ice cream and sent the kids off to bed. We logged a lot of steps, saw some incredible sites and had a fabulous day.
