Destin Beaches

The beaches in Destin are amazing. The sand is white and powdery fine, they call it sugar sand, and the water is clear and warm. We went to a few different beaches, but our favorite was Henderson Beach Park. 

There were a lot of thunderstorms while we were there, but usually around us and not where we were. 

Sawyer is a little fish who thinks he can swim, and he does kick his little legs and get around in the water. In the ocean, he would want us to let go so he could swim, but I didn't like that so he would get mad sometimes. And he mostly just wanted mommy to get in the water with him, but Jason, my dad, and my brother Alex sometimes got him to go out with them. 

There were lots of helicopters that would fly by with tourists and airplanes with advertisments. Sawyer loved them all. He would hear them and say "sound like.."  or "look, eaplane" (airplane). 

I brought a little pool to fill up with water at the beach for him to play in when he wasn't in the ocean. He does not like being dirty and freaks out when he is wet and the sand sticks to him. He likes to play in the sand when he isn't wet, but as soon as the sand starts sticking to him it is no bueno. What is insane is that the water in the pool is from the ocean. Look how clear it is, like pool water!

These really nice people on the beach told Jason to use their kayak to take the kids out in the water.
