Hershey's Chocolate World

After the train ride, we drove to Hershey to meet our friends at Hershey's Chocolate World. It took about an hour but worked out perfect because Brooklyn took a nap and was happy by the time we got there.  Jason and I had been once before but this was the girls first time. Brooklyn got excited before we even walked in. When she saw all the chocolate characters she started screaming "docklet, docklet!" (chocolate).

Chocolate World is free, but they have lots of "extras" that you have to pay for if you want to do them. They do have a free ride though that is fun. It has singing cows which the girls loved. Brooklyn called it the "dow wide" (cow ride). The ride takes you through the process of how chocolate is made and it is pretty cool.

Look at all the candy bars!!!
When you get off they give you a chocolate sample and you enter into a shop and food court that has every chocolate thing you can
imagine.
We paid extra for the girls to make their own chocolate bar. It was silly because they made everyone who went back buy a ticket, even if you weren't making a bar, so if you wanted your child to go, you have to buy one too. Luckily Brooklyn was free because she absolutely refused to wear the hair net and apron. So she went with Jason and Josh and I made her candy bar for her. Laneah looked cute in her get up and of course I looked awesome which is why there is no picture of me;)
Yes my friends that is a giant tub of chocolate.
I thought that you actually got to put your bar together, but you input what kind of bar and fillings you want into a computer and you watch the machine make it. It was still cool though. It would show your name as it went by so you knew which bar was yours.

Micah, Issac and Laneah had fun playing together.
The kids were really excited when their chocolate bars were ready. You got to make your own cover on the computer and they printed it off and put it over the candy bar tin.

Laneah was begging to eat her candy so I let her have a little piece.
Brooklyn was excited to see her bar but the little stinker wouldn't look at the camera.
Then we did another free activity where the kids got to be factory workers and assemble boxes of Hershey kisses.

We rode the ride one more time because the kids wanted too and then it was time to leave.
We got to eat dinner with our friends at Fuddruckers and it was nice to be able to spend a little more time with them since they live so far away. It was a really fun family day.
