Watkins Park

A couple of weeks ago we went to one our favorite parks: Watkins Park. It was a very hot day, but we had lots of fun despite the heat. We met up with our good friends, Jessica and Teresa and their girls.

The girls loved the see saw, but Brooklyn didn't last too long on it.
Laneah wanted to pose by this tree. She liked it because the branches were low enough for her to climb.

We had a picnic lunch but we should have waited to eat until after we rode the train. The kids could not wait, and they were lined up by the fence for the train to come so they could ride.
Brooklyn was so excited and kept yelling "choo choo"

We saw some of the animals from the train and we had to go see them once we got of the train.
Brooklyn is too cute for her own good.

They had this sweet baby calf who was all alone. The lady who was tending the animals said he was 6 weeks old and he was a twin but that the twin and the mother both died so he was all by himself.
The kids were so excited to give him some love.

And we had to ride the carousel.

Love this place, it is a keeper.
