South Carolina Day 1: Myrtle Beach

Our first day in South Carolina was spent at Myrtle Beach. It was a nice beach and the water was pretty warm. Brooklyn is really starting to come around to the beach and she enjoyed playing in the water, although she still isn't crazy about the sand.
Brooklyn running to the water, she is so cute!
Laneah jumped right in and started playing.
The waves were pretty big so she had daddy take her in the water.
Papa helped her fly her kite too, but the lure of the water was too much, so the kite flying was short lived.
Laneah and Zach (my cousin's kid, not sure what that makes their relationship) built a sand castle together. Laneah had so much fun playing with Zach.
My mom and dad holding hands; so sweet!
Both of the girls passed out on the beach. My dad was able to get Brooklyn to sleep; he has the magic touch. Laneah laid down for a bit, but didn't fall asleep.
She wanted to wear my beach hat.
 Such a diva!
After the beach we went to lunch and it was perfect timing because a huge thunderstorm rolled in and it poured. But by the time we were done eating, it was sunny again. We went to one of the boardwalks in Myrtle Beach (they have three!) and it was so fun. They had those sprinkler fountains that kids can run around in and Laneah was in heaven. Brooklyn wanted part of the action, but every time she tried to go in, water would squirt up in front of her and she would run off squealing so she wouldn't get wet.
You have to watch this video to the end, Laneah does this superman like move before she gets ready to sprint and it is so funny. She would get so mad when the water would stop. You can hear her in the video when the water stops for a second and she growls and then gets so excited when it shoots back out. But it tricked her every time.

Posing at the boardwalk. Laneah showing off a new and very interesting pose:)

Then it was time for the rides! Of course Laneah loved this.
Brooklyn wanted to ride all the rides too, but could only ride some of them. She would get really upset if she couldn't ride and she would even try to sneak in through the bars.
But she got to ride the tea cups and she loved it.

I love that she is so small from the back you just see her curly hair, she almost looks like a little puppy:)
She wanted to spin it really fast and I am getting old because it made me a little queasy, lol.

Laneah is a little daredevil. She wanted to ride all of the rides. She rode this ride with daddy and it goes so fast and then it stops and goes backwards really fast. She screamed, but it was a happy scream because she ended up riding it three times.
After the boardwalk, we had to go back to our cousins house to shower and pack and then drove down to Charleston to stay with my aunt. It was a fun day, we will definitely come back to Myrtle Beach.
