Hawaii- Kauai Day 5

On our last full day in Kauai we started off going to Ke'e Beach. It is the beach at the start of the Na Pali coast hike. It is known for its snorkeling. The snorkeling was nice and easy, very good for beginners, but a little boring for Jason and I.

Kauai has more chickens and roosters on it than on all the other islands combined. They were everywhere, even on the beach walking over towels!
After the beach we went to the Blue Room. It is a cave that is full of rain water. You swim under a ledge and you enter a room that the only light is from the water so it makes the room appear blue. The water was cold but not like the waterfall from the day before. The room was beautiful. Jason said that it used to  have a more blue color but the water isn't as deep as it used to be.
We grabbed lunch at the Mexican place again because it was so good before and it was even better this time. So good. Then Kathy, Jason and I went to Queen's Bath. I think this was my favorite place on Kauai. It is a little hike past a small waterfall that leads to the ocean and a short cliff of black lava rock. We immediately saw a turtle in the water, then another, and another...there were easily 30 or more giant sea turtles in the water eating and coming up for air. The video isn't the best because it was bright and hard to see on my camera's lcd, but you can see the turtles everywhere.

This little turtle was blowing bubbles, so cute!

We walked a little short distance on the rocks and came to Queen's Bath. It is a little lower than the rest of the cliff. It is a little pool that is full of salt water, fish and some other sea life from when the tides are higher. The pool is warmer than the ocean because the sun warms it up pretty fast. It is beautiful and right on the water.

The person taking the picture was supposed to get us with the scenery but went for the close up, but  this is Jason and I at Queen's Bath.
We swam for a while. It was beautiful and peaceful. This is a picture of the little waterfall on the trail.
When we got back to the condo we decided to go to the pool. I loved this resorts pool because it had rocks and waterfalls. It even had a waterfall in the hot tub. The pool had a colorful tiled bottom decorated with mermaids, dolphins and turtles. It was nice being in fresh water for a little while.
After swimming we got ready and went to the Hanalei Pier to watch the sunset. It was our last night in Hawaii and I wanted to watch the sunset there one last time. It did not disappoint.

Then we went to dinner together . It was a perfect last evening.
