Laneah's First Easter Egg Hunt

This year Laneah had her first official Easter Egg Hunt. It was hosted by the community and there were lots of kids there. At first Laneah wasn't sure what to do. We started off in the 2-4 age section but the eggs went really fast. I showed her a couple of times how to look for an egg and then pick it up and put it in the basket and then she got the hang of it. She would pick up an egg and then open it up, take out the candy and drop the plastic egg back on the ground:)
As you can see, Laneah insisted on wearing her tutu over her jeans, and of course a purse.
Laneah's cousin Blake was there too and they showed off their baskets to each other.
Then Laneah saw the Easter Bunny. She ran over to him and got real close but then didn't want to touch him. I told her to give him a high five and she did. Then the bunny held his arms out for a hug and she gave him a hug.
Laneah had a half eaten cookie and she kept trying to give the bunny her cookie. It was really funny. Laneah was so excited about her eggs and candy and wanted to go home and hide easter eggs again.
