Georgetown

I love living so close to DC. I think it is awesome that we can see things like the Washington Monument as we drive by.
My hubby made this entire building. He is a project manager for a construction company and this was one of his projects. On I street in DC.
We went to Georgetown because I had a pair of shoes to return and I do love DC, but I am terrified to drive there so we all went. Georgetown is a gorgeous part of DC with a college and lots of shops and fun places to eat. It is right on the water and they built this really cool splash fountain right by the water.
Laneah loved running through it. Brooklyn decided to stay dry this time since the water does look a little intimidating.
We watched some people rowing and paddle boarding.  And look there is a plane in the picture too, I just noticed, lol. There were lots of ducks as well.

Then we grabbed dinner at a pizza place and since we were there we decided to go to Georgetown cupcakes because their cupcakes are sooooo good!

On the way home we crossed a bridge as the sun was setting. This is just from my car as we were driving so it was hard to capture how stunning it was.

We took a different way back and this is part of the new project that Jason is currently working on.
Brooklyn found daddy's gear and put it on. The girls were happy and sweet on the way home.

I love it when they are having fun together:)
And I love living by so many wonderful and beautiful places.

The pic of the girls holding hands is so sweet. This is one of those you need to mentally log so that it gets you through the days when they're fighting. The cupcakes look like heaven. I have such a weakness for thick, rich frosting.
