Leaves
Walking home from the parade we found a great leaf pile. Since the weather was going to turn the next day we decided to take advantage.
It was our last beautiful day of fall.

Halloween Parade
The morning of Saturday October 27 our city had a Halloween parade. We walked with our neighbors to a local church where the kids could sign up for the costume contest. The weather was beautiful again.
Laneah wanted to be a cat and was so excited when she saw Ezra was a cat too.
Then we watched the parade.
The kids loved the Chick Fil-A cow.
and the candy!
But they were most excited for Elmo. Brooklyn couldn't stop jumping up and down.
When the last members of the parade went by, we got to walk in the parade.
This Olive and Popeye costume was the best!
The parade ended at Town Hall where they had all kinds of activities there. The kids went to the moon bounce first.
Then we had story time with a witch!!!
The girls made some bracelets and necklaces.
The also had free ice cream and other goodies and activities. We live in a great place!

Early Trick or Treat
We decided to take the girls to see Transylvania(the new kids movie) and then to the free trick or treating event at the Waugh Chapel Village on Friday October 26. We invited Laneah's friend Ezra to come with us. The girls loved the movie.
The movie ended right when trick or treating started so it was perfect. The weather was in the 70s and gorgeous. With the hurricane heading straight for us we did not know if we were going to be able to go out on Halloween. And since Laneah was going to miss Trunk or Treat at the church because of Disney on Ice this worked out great.
The girls got into their candy right away.
We met up with some friends.
Laneah so darling as a vampire. After telling me for months she wanted to be a vampire because she wanted blood on her mouth (so strange), she chickened out last minute and decided not to add the fake blood. She also wouldn't wear her neck piece causing a lot of people to confuse her as a princess.
Brooklyn as Snow White.
The excitement of candy! Halloween is definitely Brooklyn's favorite holiday.
It was so fun having my mom there with us.
With their candy bags full, the girls were hungry. Rather than letting them eat candy, we ate at Fire House Subs, which in my opinion is better than candy. Just saying. We tried for a family photo after. It is getting better; at least Brooklyn is looking;)
