DC

One Saturday in July we met up with my sister and her husband Jereme in DC. They recently moved to Virginia because Jereme got a job as a police officer. We are so glad they live so close to us now:) We went to the National History Museum first and the girls loved it. It was crowded, but they were still able to run around and touch the interactive exhibits.

Ancient Egyptian jewelry. They also had mummies which were cool, but I didn't really want pictures of them.
Brooklyn enjoyed some of the view from her daddy's shoulders.

Laneah pretended to be a dinosaur throughout the entire exhibit.

After the museum we went to Fuddruckers which happened to be in China Town which made Laneah very happy.
When we finished dinner we decided to go to a few monuments since Jereme hadn't really seen any. It was surprisingly chilly and rainy that day.
We saw the World War II monument which is my favorite.

For our last stop we briefly visited the Lincoln monument.

It was a fun and busy day. We don't go to DC often so it was nice to visit.

Laneah is quite camera shy, isn't she? :) That's wonderful that your little sis lives near you! I know your family is still rooting to get you back out this way, but at least you have one family member close.

I'm so happy that you all got together! I look forward to being able to see all of you when I get to come visit.
