November

Just a few extras from November.

Laneah rarely writes me notes, so I am loving and cherishing these sweet notes:

We took some walks and enjoyed the fall weather and beautiful leaves.
Brooklyn turned into a turkey lol.
Caramel apples
and chicken pot pie! It's time for fall cooking!
Caramel apple dip.
Aunt Jen put some color in the girls hair. Brooklyn got blue, and Laneah got pink.

Our local Five Guys has shakes now! Bye bye any chance of a diet haha.
Mini pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving. We had a nice family dinner at Megan's house.
The kids played in the leaves a lot.

It got chilly enough to turn on the fireplace.
We saw Moana and I decided we have to go back to Hawaii asap.

We went to the tree lighting at Waugh Chapel.
And now the Christmas fun can begin!

Six Flags

The day after Thanksgiving, it reached 60 degrees! We took advantage of the nice holiday and went to Six Flag's Holiday in the Park. This was the first year they were open for the holidays and I was impressed. The pictures are out of order, but there are too many so I'm leaving it that way. We got there close to when they opened and they had several rides running, but had changed the names to Christmas names, like the Peppermint Swirl. When we walked in, it was "snowing", the fake snow machine that is really bubbles, but looks like snow. There were tons of decorations and a giant Christmas tree.

We rode lots of rides and got some food, including a delicious funnel cake. When it got dark, the lights came on. There were lights everywhere! It was beautiful. We went to Santa's house which was really fun. When we went into the house, we first met Mrs Claus and talked with her and then she pulled a book on the bookshelf that opened a secret room to the elves workshop, and the last room had Santa. They didn't let us take pictures on our cameras with Santa though.

The kids loved the rides and we stayed until it was close to closing since the weather was so mild.

It was a perfect way to kick off the Christmas holiday!
