Laneah at 6 1/2

Laneah Marie at 6 1/2:

Laneah's best friend Ezra broke her leg and Laneah was so supportive. She pushed her wheelchair, stayed with her when she couldn't do certain things like play at the park instead of leaving her by herself. They even made up a best friend chant and hand clap.
At school they give out kindness coins when they see the kids going above and beyond in being a good friend or classmate and it always makes my heart warm when Laneah brings one home.
She says "headick" instead of headache.

Every Sunday either right before primary or during primary she mysteriously(wink, wink) develops a "headick" or sore throat.

One night during family scripture study, we were reading about the brass plates and Laneah asked "how come they never eat from the brass plates?"

Laneah likes to pretend to be a ninja. She dresses in all black and works on her sneaking and spying skills.

She has lost 4 teeth so far. the 2 front top and the 2 front bottom.
The other day she asked "When we go to Hawaii again, can we go to 'Meowi' (Maui)?"

Last time I made snicker doodle cookies Laneah asked me if she could have a cookie doodle.

Her project from The Rainbow Fish
Laneah enjoys being silly.
She still loves to draw.
She was very proud when she got writer of the week at school. She completed kindergarten and did very well.
She is so pretty. She had to wear make up for her dance photos. I just put lipgloss, mascara and blush and she looks like a little model. I think daddy needs to invest in a shotgun to keep the boys away in a few years.
She loves her hip hop class. She can express her divaness and attitude freely there;)

Laneah does not let me dress her. She chooses her own clothes and most of the time they clash horribly. She definitely has her own style and opinion.
Aside from drawing, dancing is her favorite thing to do. She loves making up dances and putting on shows for the family.
Laneah is fierce and independent. She has a big temper but also a big heart. Always my sugar and spice and I love her fiercely back.

Kindergarten Field Trip

On May 2nd, Laneah had a kindergarten field trip to Clarkland Farm. Brooklyn and I tagged along so we could hang out with Laneah. Laneah was so happy to see us and gave us big hugs.
Each kindergarten class had their own tour guide. They started off on a hay ride and then caught some tadpoles. Then they learned about different plants and vegetables that grow on the farm.

The kids got to make their own plant.

After everyone planted their seeds, we got to see the animals. They had brand new baby goats that we got to hold.

Since it was spring there were lots of other baby animals too and the kids got to pet them as well.

After the animals, the tour ended and it was time for lunch. Then almost 2 hours of play time!

This farm has the enchanted garden with nursery rhyme and fairy tale houses.
Laneah was upset about something silly, I can't remember what, but she still went down the slide with her arms crossed and a pouty face! Haha.
They had a few new slides as well.
Brooklyn always puts her feet out on the sides so she goes slower down the slide.
 Little Miss Muffet.
I was looking at Laneah and her friends and then I heard Brooklyn calling for me. I turned around and she had climbed up and was giving the "coachman" a big hug.
Laneah with her group; Carly and Kate.
They had this board that measured you in comparison to a 6 foot sunflower.

 Next we entered the maze.

 Brooklyn loved this giant cupcake.

Before we left, Brooklyn got a horse ride. Laneah wasn't allowed to since it was a school trip.
It was a great field trip but we were all tired after:)

April

April was still pretty cold, especially the beginning.

Have you ever had toasted coconut ice cream from Kilwins? If not, add it to your to do list. Best ice cream ever, hands down!
We watched general conference and I did a lot of prep work for the kiddos this year because not only did I want to listen as much as possible, but I wanted the girls to listen as well. I made a bag for the prophet and the 12 apostles. Each bag either had a treat or an activity to do during the talk. We also played bingo. It worked pretty well, and we ended watching 3 of the 4 sessions.
The eternal winter ended and spring came to the rescue. Spring is so beautiful here with the cherry blossoms and other flower trees. It is so colorful with white, yellow, purple, pink and red everywhere. We started walking the parkway again and taking in all the wonders of spring.

My parents bought me a kitchen aid and I love it. It looks kinda red in the picture, but it is watermelon pink and goes great with my light green kitchen.
We saw the Easter bunny. It was spontaneous so the girls weren't dressed up, but when they saw him at the mall, they just had to go meet him.
Me and my sweet pea Brooklyn.
And we got our Magic Bands for Disney!!
April flew by, and for that fact May too, since it is June and I'm still blogging about April;)
