Watkins Park

We went to this amazing park on Wednesday. My friend Julene invited us to come with her and her kids, but that morning they got the stomach flu. Poor Julene. We were pretty much all ready to go, so I decided to go ahead and go. The park is close to Jason's work so I called him and asked him if he could join us, and to my surprise, he could. (He has been really busy at work lately) The girls were thrilled to have extra time with daddy. We started off at the park, which was new and nice and had separate play areas for younger and older kids. They had a see saw which I haven't seen since I was in elementary school. The girls played until daddy got there and then they rode the carousel with him.

After riding the carousel we all rode the train around the park and the animal farm. Both of the girls waited anxiously for the train to come pick us up.

And were thrilled once they got on.

The ride was fun and the girls loved seeing the animals from the train. Then of course when we got off the train they wanted to see the animals in person. They had lots of animals but the rabbits and the peacocks were there favorites.

It was an extremely hot day in the high 90s so after a hour and a half Jason had to go back to work and we had to get out of the heat. But there was so much more to do at the park; they even have a miniature golf course. I am so glad we have a new place to play:)
